Enter the numbers immediately to the right of each gene name, between the asterisk and colon, as shown in the image to the left. If no number is present, leave that field blank.
Enter the two digit number to the right of each gene name, between the asterisk * and colon : as shown in the sample lab report on the left and in the example below.
If no number is present next to a particular gene, leave that field blank.
Lab results should contain at least one value for HLA-DRB1 and at least one value for HLA-DQB1, though in many cases results will contain two values for each of these genes.
Results may contain some, or no values for the genes HLA-DRB3, HLA-DRB4 and HLA-DRB5 as well.
Check your lab resutls and enter the missing values before calculating again.
Lab results should contain some values for the genes HLA-DRB3, HLA-DRB4 and/or HLA-DRB5, as they are necessary to determine the third figure for at least one of your haplotypes.
Calculation is still possible. There are two options:
Check your results for these values, enter them and calculate again. If testing was performed via Labcorp or Quest they should be present. Check all pages.
If testing was performed at another lab, or for any other reason results only include values for HLA-DRB1 and HLA-DQB1, the missing values for the third figure can be derived using serology and prevalence by clicking below and connecting to the Australia HLA-DR Calculator, as the Australian labs do not normally sequence the additional genes.
